Family Man (Letra)

Curso de Violão - Fórmula Violão

Written by lindsey buckingham and richard dashut.

Walk down this road
When the road gets rough
I fall down
I get up

I am what i am…
A family man
I am what i am…
A family man
Mother… father… brother…
Mother… father… brother…

Walk down this road
In the cool of the night
Don’t know what’s wrong
But i do know what’s right

I am what i am…
A family man
I am what i am…
A family man
Mother… father… brother…
Mother… father… brother…

I am what i am…
A family man
I am what i am…
A family man
Mother… father… brother…
Mother… father… brother…

Family Man (Letra)

Curso de Violão - Fórmula Violão

K. cross/r. fenn/m. frye/m. oldfield
M. pert/m. reilly

She had sulky smile
She took her standard pose as she presented herself
She had sultry eyes, she made it perfectly plain that she was his
For a price

But he said "leave me alone, i’m a family man
And my bark is much worse than my bite"
He said "leave me alone, i’m a family man
But if you push me too far i just might"

She wore hurt surprise as she rechecked her make-up to protect herself
Dropped her price and pride she made it totally clear that she was his
For a night

She gave him her look, it would have worked on any other man around
He looked her up and down, she knew he couldn’t decide if he should
Hold his ground

She turned, tossed her head unlike her opening move, her final exit line
He waited much too long but by the time he got his courage up she was gone
Then he screamed "leave me alone, i’m a family man
And my bark is much worse than my bite"
He said "leave me alone, i’m a family man
But if you push me too far, i just might"

Family Man (Letra)

Curso de Violão - Fórmula Violão

She had a sulky smile,
She took a standard pose as she presented herself.
She had sultry eyes,
She made it perfectly plain that she was his for a price.

But he said, "leave me alone, i’m a family man,
And my bark is much worse than my bite!"
He said, "leave me alone, i’m a family man.
If you push me too far, i just might…."

She wore hurt surprise
As she re-checked her make-up to protect herself.
She showed less than pride,
She made it totally clear that she was his for a price.

But he said, "leave me alone, i’m a family man,
And my bark is much worse than my bite!
Please just leave me alone, i’m a family man.
If you push me too far, i just might…."

She gave him her look
That would have worked on any other man in sight.
He could not mistake,
She wanted to go back with him and spend the night.

But he said, "leave me alone, i’m a family man,
And my bark is much worse than my bite!
Please just leave me alone, i’m a family man.
If you push me too far, i just might…."

She turned, tossed her head and then
She started to make her final exit line.
She showed real disdain,
As if explaining again she could be his for a price.

But he said, "leave me alone, i’m a family man,
And my bark is much worse than my bite!"
He said, "leave me alone, i’m a family man.
If you push me too far, i just might…."

But he said, "leave me alone, i’m a family man,
And my bark is much worse than my bite!"
He said, "leave me alone, i’m a family man.
If you push me too far, i just might…."

But he said, "leave me alone, i’m a family man,
And my bark is much worse than my bite!"
He said, "leave me alone, i’m a family man.
If you push me too far, i just might…."

He said, "leave me alone, i’m a family man,
And my bark is much worse than my bite!"
He said, "leave me alone, i’m a family man.
If you push me too far, i just might!"

Woah jocko, don’t expect me
To come out drinking, messin’ around
Spending my time
With a bunch of crazy people
Yes, i been there before
I don’t need to go back no more

I’m just a family man
Like it or not
I am a family man
I’m a-holding onto what i’ve got
I’m a family man
Right by damn
Finally, find out what i am
Is a family man

And don’t expect me
To hit the road
At a moment’s notice
Without my suitcase
With some crazy bunch of strangers
In some unknown car
I’m just not willing to go that far

The life i used to lead was a little too frantic
I guess i just got eyes to grow old and grey
And if what i have in mind isn’t super romantic
I guess i always saw myself this way

I’m just a family man
Like it or not
Said i’m a family man
Holding onto what i’ve got
I’m a family man
Right by damn
I, finally, find out what i am
Is a family man

Sears and roebuck
Howard johnson
Colonel sanders
Station wagon
Briggs and stratton
Second mortgage
If i can ever lose my blues
Walk on over and turn on the tv
What i’d like to do is lie down on the sofa
Later on
I might walk my dog, baby
Bo diddley’s a family man
