Curso de Violão - Fórmula Violão

Four days left in the week
And already I looked ahead
I’m tired, so anxious
Dazed, confused, and seeing red

Sometimes the day seem so long
I wish my boss hadn’t taken my bong
Sometimes the days seem long.. so long

I stare at the clock
It doesn’t move, no not all
The work day is so long
Like a night of insomnia

Sometimes the day seem so long
I wish my boss hadn’t taken my bong
Sometimes the days seem long.. so long

So I shut my eyes and fantasize
about anything that ‘ll come to mind
To more perverse the better
I shut my eyes and fantasize about all the
really horrendous things I could be doing
I shut my eyes and fantasize –
there better be more than this
is this a really bad joke
I could be out right now doing all the really
horrendous things I’ve been imagining
It couldn’t possibly be so boring

Friday, only one more day
To endure this tendiousness
The clock won’t move at all
So I wat and I wait

Sometimes the days seem so long
I wish my boss hadn’t taken my bong
Sometimes the days seem long.. so long

So I shut my eyes and fantasize about
anything that ‘ll come to mind
The more perverse the better
I shut my eyes and fantasize
about all the horrendous things I could be doing
It couldn’t possibly be so boring

Day Job (Letra)

Curso de Violão - Fórmula Violão

(scott johnson, bill leen, phillip rhodes, jesse valenzuela, robin wilson)

Well we’ve been here once before
And we’ve stuck it out for more
When we come around we’ll settle down
The cracks below the floor
Has it been eleven years
Since i’ve stood here with my peers
And we started out to conquer doubt and frisbee
I should’ve been a whole lot farther
I’m never going back to college
For just one good day job
You’re not missing much for sure
Only everything that’s yours
And at times it fails and we’re full sail in the gutter
Is this home ‘cause i forgot
If it is then thanks a lot
‘cause i can’t pretend to know one end from the other
I should’ve been a whole lot farther
I’m never going back to college
For just one good day job
You’re not missing much for sure
Only everything that’s yours
At times it fails and we’re full sail in the gutter
Is this home ‘cause i forgot
If it is then thanks a lot
‘cause i can’t pretend to know one end from the other
I should’ve been a whole lot farther
I’m never going back to college
For just one good day job…

Day Job (Letra)

Curso de Violão - Fórmula Violão

Maybe you collect or maybe you pay (whether)
Still got to work that eight hour day
Whether you like that job or not
You’d better keep it on ice while you’re lining up your long shot

Which is to say, hey hey, keep your day job
Don’t give it away, keep your day job, whatever they say
Keep your day job ‘till your night job pays.

Steady boys starting that eight day hour
Never underrate that paycheck power
By now you know that the face on your dollar
Got a thumb on its nose and a hand on your collar
With a chance to say, hey hey, keep your day job….

Daddy may drive a v-8 ‘vette
Mama may bathe in champagne yet
God bless the child that’s got his own stash
Nine to five and a place to crash
Which is to say…
Sunday comes forget about work, ring that bell for whatever it’s worth.
If you ask me like i know you won’t
I’ll tell you what to do what i know that you won’t.

Day Job (Letra)

Curso de Violão - Fórmula Violão

Don’t quit your day job

Corporate-crybaby
A bit wiser and a whole lot older, feelin’ bolder
Suckin’ up to the last stockholder with a
Golden parachute slung over your shoulder

Jacked-up-b-boy
Another fool got stuck in the whirlpool
Lookin’ for a fast break, not enough cake to go ‘round
Another brother goes down, and he’s out of the gene pool

Media-pimp
Day after day, night after night if the money is right
The campaign goes on to make right seem wrong
With computer animation and a hip-hop song

Land of opportunity, this is the
Stop
Don’t quit your day job

Cowboy-politician
Suckin’ up to the aristocracy
Not even sure if you like democracy
Tryin’ to establish an american royalty, a personal dynasty

Priests-of-the-airwaves
Let the buyer beware, it’s a jungle out there
So buy my advice and don’t think twice
Then me and your money will go someplace sunny

Celebrity-stud-monkey
Kiss and tell, got a book to sell
‘cause you don’t excel or do anything well
Since you slipped past thirty, better keep the sex dirty

Mo’ money, mo’ money, mo’ money
